Our Mini Science Centre (MSC) is innovative and interactive with a hands-on approach to teach the concepts of Science and Math. This modern way of teaching not only helps students to understand the concepts easily but also to implement them for the progress of the society. We are India’s only company which is providing such Mini Science Centre. Our MSC consists of 80 plug and play models of Science & Maths which are easy to use. As on today, over 1900 Schools in India are using our MSC, which has empowered teachers for teaching science and math to school children in a simpler way.
These exhibits are for students of age group of 10 to16. They are mapped as per CBSE, ICSE, IB and International boards.
Yes, each MSC will consist of 40 coloured backdrops. These informative and interactive colourful backdrops explain science/ maths concept and the process of using the model. Besides the backdrops, we also provide training manuals and user manual.
Our MSC comes as an entire offering. We want students to learn entire STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) concepts and become future ready. Also, it’s not just about installing the exhibits at the school. We do complete handholding during the end to end process, that is, from teacher training to maintenance, to utilization check and evaluation.
We just need a room of minimum 300 sq ft. Any classroom which has tables in it can be converted into MSC. The whole installation process will be taken care by us. Once the setup is done, MSC becomes the permanent property of the school with no operating cost.
The entire process involves delivery of exhibits and the material at the school, installation and teacher training, which will take up to 3 weeks’ time.
Tinkering is basically experimenting with various electronics, robotics and technological tools, exploring their potential and thereby creating a solution for any problem. The Tinker Lab contains educational kits and equipment on science, electronics, robotics, open source micro-controller boards, sensors and 3D printers etc. which require assembling. Through this tinkering, children figure out how materials and tools work, how to take things apart, and how to put things together.
Once the MSC is installed we give proper training to teachers. This training is done twice in an academic year. The aim is to empower the teachers through training so that they get comfortable in using the exhibits, thus, in turn, making students understand the concepts easily. It is only if the teachers are confident that the utilization of the exhibits will increase and both the teachers and students will gain from the learning being imparted through them.
We believe that learning must go on without any hassles. Therefore, to ensure this, our Program Implementation Associate and Impact Assessment Team regularly visit the school where the MSC has been installed. They check whether the models are being utilized properly and whether all the exhibits are working fine or need repair/replacement. We also create a dedicated WhatsApp group for the school, where the teachers are encouraged to share daily MSC usage images and videos with us.
STEM Learning is a social enterprise aimed to facilitate and integrate the partnerships from several stakeholders (Public Sectors, Government Bodies, Private Sectors, Non-Profit Sectors, private schools and philanthropists) in education sector. The key community whom we cater to are school children who need to be ingrained with the basic concepts of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). With the help of MSC, more than a million students have already benefited in 23 states across India. With MSC being installed in 1900 schools, more than 10000 teachers have also been trained to make teaching process more effective.
Yes, we are accredited by STEM.org and international organization for STEM accreditation. STEM.org is the longest continually-operating, privately-held STEM education research and credentialing organization in America.
We can arrange for intra and inter school competitions in the Quiz and Model- Making Categories if more than 10-15 groups of students are made available. These competitions are held with professional set ups. The objective is a complete transformation of the students in their learning process and to instil confidence in them for their future.
